Spring Fling

Easter weekend whizzed by and although we had 24 hours of snow, yes snow, today definitely feels much more Spring like. The clocks changing usually leave me injected with a new lease of life, and despite a horrific week of hospital visits (que very poorly boyfriend), sleepless nights and 7 days straight work, I'm feeling totally inspired by some new purchases and long sunny evenings.

Bare leg season is upon us!... Nearly. So here are my new transitional faves to keep me going til I get off this usually grey island.

Adidas Superstars
My new Sunday footwear of choice. In foundation white. Obvs. Seeing as most of my wardrobe is a mix of monosshrome denim, knitwear, athleisure and leggings these were a no brainer addition that I've been after for a long time. They are the most versitile things I've owned in a long time. Wearing them with a leather jacket, jeans and an over sized scarf, that's a day off on lockdown.

Modalu Satchel

Butter soft leather with multiple compartments and a long shoulder strap; an absolute easy-to-wear investment.

NYX Liquid Suede

Finally an impromptu trip to Boots Manchester city centre allowed me a little NYX indulgence. Every man and his dog seems to be loving a good old liquid lipstick right now, so I jumped on the wagon and made my first NYX purchase. Liquid Suede(shade soft spoken) is totally matte and lasts for hours, so far I'm very impressed and will definitely be adding to the collections soon.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream

Kiehl's are a brand I'm late to the party with. I've now got a wishlist as long as my arm, so I guessed starting with their bestselling and highly recommended Ultra Facial Cream was a good option. My skin's been really in need of a boost lately. I think the time if year, lack of sun and stressful schedule have taken it's toll and I've been suffering with un-even tone and some dehydration. Lathering this on every evening feels really therapeutic and it soaks in really nicely overnight. I do think it's quite a heavy moisturiser to use in the morning, but it's a new winner in my bedtime routine.

Daily Journal

Hands up who's an organisation geek? My new Urban Outfitters daily planner makes me oh so happy of late. The marble print, sturdy cover and well laid out pages make my to-do lists and notes much more logical and ordered.
